Visible surface settlement is often an indicator of a deeper problem. Florida’s sandy soils and limerock base create special construction challenges for residential homeowners and commercial developers. Florida’s heat, hurricanes, humidity and rainfall cause the limerock to expand and contract as it becomes wet and then dry. Over time, the limerock base can become brittle causing collapse and resulting in anything from minor surface settlement to significant sinkhole activity. Cement Grouting is a cost effective way to remedy many of these settlement problems.
